Philosophy

Our aim is to support women, providing a relaxed homely atmosphere with as little intervention in the natural process as possible. We wish to foster family bonding by including the family in all aspects of the pregnancy and birth if appropriate. We believe that continuity of care from one midwife is important as it encourages trust and confidence in each other.

We are group of three midwives who work as a team to support each other to provide a 24-hour midwifery service to women and their families. As midwives we are committed to providing individualised care which involves the whole pregnancy and birth experience.

Services 

Caring for the women from Whangaparaoa to Kaiwaka  

• Free pregnancy tests
• Personal and individual care from your choice of midwife
• Continuity of care from conception to six weeks after the birth.
• Full range of antenatal classes available.
• Home visiting postnatally, usually 10 visits.
• Births can be at Warkworth or Wellsford Birthing Units, North Shore Hospital or home.
• For any women requiring transfer to North Shore Hospital we go with you and continue your care.
• We work well with specialists and share care in some cases.
