Philosophy

I feel that women are the directors of their own pregnancies and deliveries that the midwife is there to guide and advise the woman through this process to the best of her ability, to provide a safe journey and outcome.
My husband and I have five children and currently live in West Auckland where I love working with families. I feel a special bond and enjoy working with the "older" mums who have greater adjustments to make in their lives when making the transition into motherhood.
Being a midwife has always been my lifelong dream. I started my midwifery career in 1996 and became a registered Midwife with a Bachelor of Health Science in Midwifery in 1999.

Services

• I joined the team at Maternity Matters in April 2001 and care for a total of 52 women a year through their antenatal, labour, delivery and after birth care. Maternity Matters is based in West Auckland and works from comfortable rooms at Woodford Health Services.
• I have access to Waitakere Obstetric Hospital and North Shore Hospital for deliveries and work closely with specialists and paediatricians at both.

• I have worked as a part of the staff at Waitakere Obstetric Hospital before becoming a valued and respected member of the hospital-based WIMS scheme in August 2000.
