WHO ARE WE?

The Autism New Zealand Inc. is a parent driven charitable organisation The association receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of 4000 plus members, the general public and grants from charitable trusts for it's on-going funding. The association has seven employees throughout the country and over 120 volunteers The association has an executive committe of five and a national president, that are nominated and elected form the membership. It has 14 branches throughout New Zealand and has been in operation for over 30 years. Membership is free.

OUR WORK

Each of the fourteen branches provides parent support, however some also run holiday programmes, sibling support groups, Asperger support groups, home support and advocacy services.

OUR RESOURCES

The association has the largest range of books and publications specifically on autism and Asperger syndrome, for hire and purchase, in New Zealand. It also has a resource list of over 2000 articles from around the world. This information is updated regularly. The national association also provides training workshops and runs conferences and seminars throughout New Zealand on a regular basis.
