Congratulations on your pregnancy. You are embarking on a journey that is both exciting and sometimes a little scary, and we would be delighted to walk alongside you as your Lead Maternity Caregivers (LMC) during this special time.

Philosophy

Our Baby On The Way registered midwife practice in the West of Auckland is women centered and family focused as it is just as important to involve as much as possible the people that each women wishes to have around her at such a special time in her life.

We are committed to ensuring that the women in our care and their family/whanau have the very best pregnancy and birth experience that each individual circumstance allows.

We work in a reciprocal partnership that ensures all the women in our care have a safe and competent midwife they can contact 24/7 for urgent calls. We provide midwifery care from your booking visit throughout your pregnancy, labour and birth until six weeks postpartum (after birth). 

Our belief is that pregnancy and childbirth are normal and healthy life events, which are the very beginning of lifelong choices and decision-making that involves the whole family/whanau. We believe that both the woman and their chosen support people should be provided with the relevant information so that these choices and decisions can be made in an informed way.
