OUR ASSOCIATION
The Psoriasis Association, charitable status, was set up to provide funding and an information base to link all support groups. Our organisation is run by non paid volunteers. Our funding is obtained from grants, donations, fundraising and subscriptions (local groups). We receive no government funding.
OUR SERVICES
- We have an extensive information base and ongoing information from overseas available to members.
- Pamphlets/booklets on various aspects of psoriasis are available on order.
- GP enquiries are more than welcome.
- We would expect any person requiring ongoing information to become a member of one of our support groups.
OUR AIM
- Educate sufferers about the complaint and available treatments.
- Educate the general public to remove the underserved stigma attached to skin conditions.
- Encourage research into the causes, treatments and eventual cures.
- Distribute available information on psoriasis.
- Support sufferers, their families and associates.
- Provide social interaction for members.
- Assist in providing treatment facilities.
- Maintain contact with other psoriasis groups internationally.
