Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ
Who are we?
We know that those diagnosed with prostate cancer have special needs. We know because "we have been there!" Men with prostate cancer have to make vitally important decisions about types of treatment. They may also have to make important choices and adjustments to enjoy a full life.
To do this they need relevant and current information to help them make the decision that is best for them. It is not our role to give you medical advice, but we will guide you to the most appropriate information available.
There are many different treatments for prostate disease and people need information about their choices so they can make decisions that are best for them. Our role is to help those recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and survivors of prostate cancer, to lead productive and full lives through shared counselling and discussions. Remember, we know what you and those close to you are going through.
Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ Inc has four main objectives:
1. To establish and maintain in New Zealand an association of persons concerned with the awareness and treatment of prostate cancer or other prostate problems.
2. To foster general public awareness about prostate cancer and the possible advantages of early detection.
3. To provide support before, during and after treatment for prostate cancer patients and those close to them.
4. To seek monies by means of grants, promises, gifts and bequests, or by any other lawful means to further the interests of the Foundation.
