Anxiety Support Canterbury
Anxiety Support Canterbury is an organisation which works with people for whom an anxiety or a phobia has significantly impacted their lives and their ability to function well.
HOW WE HELP
Anxiety Support Canterbury offers free information, education, resources, newsletters and inspiration to people who experience many types of anxieties and phobias and who live in Christchurch and North Canterbury, New Zealand.
We also have support groups for Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Agoraphobia & Panic Disorder. Activities include regular chat/open forum meetings, clinician-led education sessions and the use of speakers and topics to develop understanding of the effects of anxieties/phobias and how to manage them.
Our organisation is staffed by people who have experience of significant anxieties or phobias. Their journeys are examples of recovery for the people who come to us for help. We believe in every person's potential to recover and to make anxiety a diminishing part of their life experience.
