Hepatitis C Support Group (NZ)

OUR GROUP

The NZ Hepatitis C Support Group is a voluntary non-profit organisation set up in 1992 to provide support and information to people with hepatitis C, their families and friends. Since then it has expanded its activities and now it also provides information and education to a wide range of health related groups, GPs, gastroenterologists and other specialists as well as the Ministry of Health and RHAs.

OUR SERVICES

General information packs on hepatitis C are available and the support group operates a toll free phone line (0800 224 372) or 377 8500 for Auckland callers.

The Support Group also publishes a bimonthy letter called The Chronicle which covers all aspects of hepatitis C from the latest medical research to information on complimentary therapies.

Public meetings and information sessions are held in Auckland and Christchurch which involve videos and speakers with expertise in the field. These meetings also give people with hepatitis C a chance to meet each other and talk through relevant issues.
