Philosophy

Full Bloom Midwifery is a group of independent midwives in North Shore City sharing the same philosophy, supporting each other to support you. We strongly believe in women's ability to grow and birth their babies, and work to support normal processes. We have worked alongside women from many backgrounds and cultures, and recognise how this influences choices. We are strong advocates of using evidence to support informed decision-making.

Services 

• continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth and after the baby is born
• rooms in Rothesay Bay and Birkdale - if you cannot get to us, we will negotiate coming to you!
• choice of place of birth - at home, at North Shore Hospital, or at a birth centre such as Birthcare or Warkworth
• visits by the midwife up to six weeks after your birth
• referral and liaison with other health professionals
• support with breastfeeding.

What do we offer?

• We have many years experience between us, but also value the different perspectives newer practitioners bring.
• We are members of the New Zealand College of Midwives (NZCOM) and reviewed every year.
• We are members of Midwifery and Maternity Provider Organisation (MMPO).
• We provide high quality care by limiting the number of clients we take on.
