Residential Care Line

OUR SERVICE

The Residential Care Line aims to help people aged 65 years and over, their family/whanau, or carers who are considering rest home or long stay hospital care, or who are already in care.

The Residential Care Line is a national service. It is funded through a contract with Auckland District Health Board. Available information covers how to get help to stay at home, short-term relief care for caregivers, as well as the systems around long-term residential care. This includes entitlements for residents receiving full residential care subsidy and top-up subsidy.

We have detailed information on retirement villages, rental accommodation, home care and activities for older people in the Auckland and Northland regions.

You can make contact via telephone, fax, post or the feedback option direct from our website (see below). The service operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
