OUR PURPOSE
Glaucoma New Zealand is a charitable trust formed to save sight by preventing blindness from glaucoma. Glaucoma is one of the leading health issues affecting New Zealanders. Glaucoma is the leading cause of preventable blindness in New Zealand, but early detection and appropriate treatment can prevent loss of vision.
WHAT WE DO
Glaucoma NZ offers an approachable information service to people affected by glaucoma and to their families. We also provide education and information to healthcare professionals involved in glaucoma diagnosis and treatment. We promote awareness of glaucoma among the community, and we support research into glaucoma in New Zealand.

- Free information packs for people who register with us.
- Regular newsletter: Eyelights.
- Advisory service.
- Fact Sheets for distribution by ophthalmologists and optometrists.
