WHAT IS SWEET LOUISE?

Sweet Louise is a charitable organisation offering services and support to women living with secondary breast cancer. As part of the Louise Perkins Foundation, Sweet Louise aims to improve wellbeing and quality of life for New Zealand women living with secondary breast cancer.

HOW WE HELP

Sweet Louise offers a range of free practical resources and restorative therapies to help women living with secondary breast cancer lead more positive lives. Membership is free and women can register on the Sweet Louise website or by calling the toll free number - details below.

Direct services are currently available to women living in the Northland, Auckland and Wellington areas. For women living in other parts of New Zealand, we offer contact with our Support Coordinators through the toll free number and information and fellowship via our Member-only website-based ‘chat’ Forums and online Journals.

Women can register on the Sweet Louise website to join our programme and receive an annual allocation of Sweet Louise vouchers to ‘spend’ on services. These services are grouped under Sweet Louise Helpers (eg, handyman services, home cleaning, child care), Body (eg, massage, reflexology) and Mind (eg, counselling and emotional support, art therapy) and aim to provide members with uplifting experiences and practical assistance.

Sweet Louise members in the Northland, Auckland and Wellington areas may also attend monthly members’ meetings to listen to a speaker or participate in a creative activity and enjoy the companionship of other women over morning tea.
