OUR ORGANISATION
The Asthma Foundation (formerly the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand) is a charitable umbrella organisation coordinating activities and providing resources for its affiliates, including 28 regional asthma societies. The Asthma Foundation also promotes respiratory issues at national level and lobbies government and non government bodies to bring about positive changes for people with respiratory diseaes.
OUR MISSION
The Asthma Foundation's mission is to advocate on behalf of all people with respiratory conditions.
OUR GOALS
- Improvements in access to health services and health information
- Development of a multi-disciplinary commitment to fighting respiratory disease
- A broader scope for asthma and respiratory research
- Greater commitment from government and industry to an allergy free environment
- Increased government commitment to providing support services for people with respiratory illness.
