OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To promote mental health.
At a personal level mental health refers to the quality of people's psychological, social and behavioural functioning in the world. Mental health is the ability to feel comfortable about yourself, about other people and about your ability to cope with the demands of life.
OUR WORK
We work extensively in mental health education and promotion, strategies for illness prevention, maintaining wellness, stress management and stigma reduction. The key vehicles for our work are advocacy, education, resources, information, training and research.
OUR FUNDING
The Foundation is a not for profit charitable trust established in 1974. We are an independent organisation undertaking contracts. Other sources of funding include grants, donations and legacies. We actively seek financial input for the work of the Foundation and would like to express our thanks to the families, individuals and philanthropic bodies who so dedicatedly offer us their support.
