OUR GROUP
Pain Action in New Zealand Inc.(PAINZ) is a patient-powered support group which has worked since 1985 to improve the quality of life for pain sufferers in New Zealand. Great importance is placed on the role of family and friends of chronic pain sufferers and those involved with their care. Social isolation and depression are often the end results of ongoing chronic pain.
OUR AIMS
- To improve the quality of life for chronic pain sufferers
- To provide support and assistance to chronic pain sufferers
- To provide facilities and activities to meet the physical and social needs of chronic pain sufferers
- To create an environment where sufferers can learn more about pain
- To educate the public about the needs of chronic pain sufferers
