Philosophy

I come to midwifery with an enthusiasm to work with women in the area of health and wellbeing and a great desire to share in the childbearing experience with women and their families. I believe that birth is a healthy life process best supported in an environment where a woman feels safe and encouraged. I accept and embrace the diverse social, cultural, emotional, physical and spiritual backgrounds that women come from.

My aim is to support women to make choices for themselves and their families during this time through information sharing and open communication. The care that I provide is down to earth and based on the individual needs of women and their families/whanau.

I am a registered independent midwife and I live in Rukuhia with my husband and our 2 children.

Services

• I cover Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu and outlying areas
• I have access to River Ridge East Birth Centre, Waterford Birth Centre, Matariki Maternity Hospital and Waikato Hospital.
