I am an independent midwife and I provide primary maternity care in the North Shore area.

If you choose me to be your LMC, I can see you during your pregnancy in my clinics in Greenhithe or Northcote. I can deliver your baby in the North Shore Hospital and make visits at your own home after baby is born up to four to six weeks.

My back up partners are Chu Xin and Tom Bown. They are both very experienced midwives. Chu Xin is a gynaecologist and obstetric consultant in China with 20+ years experience in medicine. In New Zealand she has been practicing midwifery for over 10 years. Tom Bown had 20-plus years of experience in midwifery; he was the charge midwife in Auckland City Hospital.

Philosophy

I believe every woman is different and I am happy to support you in your choices and decisions for a safe and happy journey to the birth of your child. I was born in China, brought up in New Zealand and completed my midwifery training in AUT. I am able to speak both Chinese (Mandarin) and English. My special interests in my work are in Chinese women, however I would love to be in partnership with women with other cultural backgrounds.

• Relaxed antenatal visits
• Referral for antenatal screening and tests relating to pregnancy
• Referral for antenatal diagnostic tests 
• Referral for pregnancy laboratory tests 
• Labour and birthing support
• Postnatal care for you and your baby until four to six weeks 
• Prescriptions related to pregnancy and birth, including contraception 
• Referral to other health practitioners and specialists.
