OUR PURPOSE

OUTline NZ provides a valuable telephone counselling service to New Zealand’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Takataapui (GLBTT) communities and their family and friends. OUTline NZ is based in Auckland and has been active since 1972, making it one of the oldest and trusted gay organisations in New Zealand.

OUTLine provides a professional, free and confidential service offering information, support, counselling, referral and training service. We offer help with many kinds of issues like coming out, sexual orientation, immigration, or just a friendly ear if you feel lonely or depressed.

OUTLine is an anonymous and confidential line. Our counsellors are trained to help others over the phone in issues around sexual identity and other issues that affect our GLBTT community. Our counsellors are self-accepting gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and takataapui people, who can often directly relate to the issues you might want to discuss.
